The Altelix NP171409WXA1C-NDE Network Distribution Enclosure is an all-in-one solution for deploying network switches and routers in both indoor or outdoors locations. It provides the ultimate protection against theft and damage as well as harsh weather. This NEMA 4X windowed enclosure is simple to install because no wiring is required. Simply mount the enclosure and plug the pre-wired 5 foot power cord into a nearby outlet. It can be transition to hard-wired later if needed. The power cord can be removed and the power receptacle hard-wired by a qualified installer.

12-Port Patch Panel
Included with this network distribution enclosure is a 12-port blank keystone patch panel. This patch panel features an adjustable angled keystone design for easy cable management. (Keystone jacks not included).

Steel Equipment Shelf and Accessory Mounting Bracket
For installing switches and routers a steel equipment shelf is provided. This shelf features removable configurable brackets for securing various size equipment. Slots in the shelf are also provided to secure equipment using hook-n-loop straps included in the accessory kit. This shelf can accommodate equipment up to 10.5 inches wide x 5 inches deep x 3.5 inches tall.

To secure power supplies and additional equipment inside the enclosure a steel accessory bracket is provided along with hook-n-loop straps.

Multi-Port Cable Glands
Pre-installed are (3) of our unique multi-cable cable glands. These cable glands can each accommodate up to five pre-terminated Ethernet cables. This helps reduce the number of cable glands needed and allows the cables to be better bundled together. Plugs are provided to seal any unused ports in the cable glands.

Polycarbonate Viewing Window
This enclosure features a 4×6 inch viewing window installed in the lid which allows visibility to installed equipment while the enclosure lid is close. The operational status of installed equipment can easily be confirmed since indicator lights can be viewed without opening the enclosure. Constructed from transparent polycarbonate, this viewing window is UV resistant and will not yellow. A silicone gasket ensures the enclosure meets its NEMA 4X rating.

120VAC Power Outlets
Mounted to the bottom of the enclosure, (2) internal pre-wired 120VAC power outlets are provided to power installed equipment.

Polycarbonate + ABS Protection Built to Last
This NEMA 4X network distribution enclosure is molded out of UV resistant Polycarbonate + ABS, an industrial grade plastic with greater strength and durability than standard ABS. This enclosure can be easily drilled and modified by the installer to suit unique site requirements. It meets or exceeds NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4X, 12, 13 and IEC 529 IP65, IP66.

DIN Rail Support
Raised bosses located in the lid of this enclosure can be used to install Altelix’s 35mm Top Hat DIN Rail kits (sold separately). Up to (2) DIN Rail kits can be installed into the enclosure lid. This provides greater versatility when mounting equipment inside the enclosure. A large flat section in the lid is also provided for use with the hook-n-loop tape included in the accessory kit.

No-Drill Equipment Mounting Plate
Additional equipment and also be installed directly to the equipment mounting plate. This RF transparent 10mm thick PVC equipment mounting plate features a No-Drill design. Mounting radios and other equipment can be easily done simply by using self-tapping screws.

Secure Your Equipment
These NP series enclosures feature dual stainless steel quick release latches. A stainless steel security screw with keys and a provision for a padlock are also provided.

Complete with Cable Grommets and Wire Management Accessories
This enclosure includes an assortment of cable grommets and additional cable glands that can be installed in the knock-out holes for a weather resistant seal. Also included in the accessory kit are wall anchors, zip ties, wire management loops, hook-n-loop tape, ground wire, (2) door locking keys and more.

Multiple Mounting Options
This enclosure features (4) external mounting feet which can be used for wall mounting or with our optional pole mounting kit. Mounting points are also provided inside the enclosure. These can be easily drilled out and used for applications requiring a more secure installation.
