Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables exceed the requirements of the latest international EMI standards to significantly reduce the probability of interference with wireless services such as Wi-Fi. mobile phones, network switches,, and other Bluetooth devices.

What features does HDMI 2.1 include?

Ultra High Speed Cables support all HDMI 2.1 features, including:

  • Supports high resolution video modes such as 4Kp50/60/100/120 and 8Kp50/60.
  • HDMI 2.1 high speed and ethernet, supporting up to 10K screen resolution.
  • High Dynamic Range (HDR) picture integrity and colour depth at a minimum 48Gbps transfer rate.
  • Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) audio to boost bandwidth and speed allowing higher-quality audio from your TV to a soundbar or AV receiver. This includes the latest high-bitrate audio formats are supported, including DTS Master, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and more.

Why is HDMI 2.1 important?

HDMI 2.1 means increased available bandwidth for metadata and high-resolution signals at higher frame rates. Higher bandwidth translates to a smoother pixel display during Ultra High Definition Blu-rays or playing the latest next generation gaming consoles.

Its variable refresh rate combats gaming lag and stuttering through snappy frame transportation, allowing screens to display images faster. The Automatic Low Latency Mode feature triggers your display to switch into its fastest-response modes when a game is detected without any human input.

In essence, HDMI 2.1 allows a massively increased native 48Gbps maximum data rate with the potential for exceptional picture and sound quality. Especially for cinematic experiences and gaming.

What does 2Kg cable retention mean?

Accidents happen and unexpected pulls on your cable can cause a lesser HDMI cable to come loose or damage your device. Plus, thicker cables can weigh down the cable connector and pull it out of the socket over time. Even the slightest tension can result in signal loss.

Bravo’s solid diecast connectors have a 2Kg cable retention grading. Even strong external forces on the cable will be absorbed by its flexibility and premium connectors, maintaining connectivity and device integrity while minimising potential damage.

Why is being an HDMI adopter important?

Always check cables are HDMI® licensed before considering purchase. HDMI adopters are licensed to guarantee the best quality product and user experience possible. Kordz’ HDMI® Adopter Licence ensures chip, connectors, mainboard and end product are compliant to the high HDMI® standard.

HDMI® Licensing grants the following benefits:

  • Access to HDMI® specifications and all future releases to stay cutting edge.
  • Licensed by the Ultra High Speed HDMI Certification Program for proven quality and unmatched performance.
  • Worldwide compliance protection via Customs Authorities for trustworthy, ethical products.
  • HDMI Licensing Administrator proactively monitors the market for unlicensed products and takes every measure to maintain the integrity of products.

Additionally, the cable name must be printed directly on the protective cable jacket itself to signal the cable has been tested and certified to the HDMI 2.1 standard.
